Previz Studio

Review a previz board, the planned shots of a video, with the source of every frame.

Working Runs in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Try it below on sample data.

The problem

A previz board mixes sketches, 3D, stock and AI images. By the time it reaches a client, nobody remembers which frame came from where.

What I built

A tool that keeps the review and the source of each frame together, and checks rights and disclosure before the board goes out.

  • Options for each shot
  • A source for every frame
  • AI use disclosed, stock licensed

Features and limits

Built and tested

  • Alternatives per shot with framing and camera move; pick one per shot.
  • Every frame records how it was made: hand sketch, 3D blockout, AI-assisted (the third-party tool must be named) or stock (the license must be recorded).
  • Checks: every shot picked, runtime within the target, AI tools named, stock licensed, AI-assisted picks disclosed.
  • Export a shot list with a provenance table (Markdown).

Limits

  • A review and provenance tool. It does not generate images; it records what other tools produced.
  • Thumbnails here are framing diagrams, not artwork.

Planned

Shot tracking, constraint notes and feedback rounds.

How to use
  • Pick an alternative for each shot.
  • Fill in the tool name for AI-assisted frames and the license for stock frames.
  • Clear the checks, then export the shot list and provenance.
How it works
  • Provenance is a required field per frame, checked before export.
  • The report counts frames by method and lists each pick with its source.
