Voice to Action

Turn the transcript of an English voice note into tasks you review.

Working Runs in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Try it below on sample data.

The problem

Voice notes are the fastest way to capture an idea and the slowest to act on. They sit in the recordings app until someone types them up.

What I built

A tool that suggests tasks, notes and events from the transcript, works out the dates, catches duplicates, and saves only what you confirm.

  • Tasks, notes and events from speech
  • Dates like "tomorrow" worked out
  • Nothing saved without your OK

Features and limits

Built and tested

  • Proposes tasks, notes and events from a spoken-style transcript, with people and due dates (today, tomorrow, Friday, next week) resolved against the recording date.
  • Spoken corrections (“actually, make that Wednesday”) update the item they correct and are kept with it.
  • Possible duplicates are flagged, against both new proposals and items already saved.
  • Nothing is saved until you confirm it; every confirm and discard is in the history.
  • Search saved items by text, type or person.

Limits

  • Voice integration is simulated: there is no recording and no speech recognition, only a transcript you paste or type.
  • Rule-based, not AI: it recognizes common phrasings in English, not every way of saying things.
  • Nothing is stored after you leave the page in this demo.

Planned

Speech adapter, review gate and data export.

How to use
  • Edit the transcript or keep the fictional one, then make proposals.
  • Check dates, corrections and duplicate warnings.
  • Confirm or discard each one; search what you saved.
How it works
  • Sentences are classified by phrasing; relative dates use the recording date.
  • Duplicates are word-overlap matches above 60%.
  • Saving is an explicit action; the history is append-only.
